Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is set to launch on July 31, and the company has just revealed its core component. The upcoming mid-range smartphone will be powered by MediaTek’s newest chipset, the Dimensity 7350.
The Dimensity 7350 is a mid-range chip with a focus on performance and efficiency. It features a cluster of powerful Arm Cortex-A715 cores and energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores. Graphics duties are handled by an Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU.
Nothing has also confirmed that the Phone (2a) Plus will pack up to 12GB of RAM. This, combined with the powerful Dimensity 7350, should deliver a smooth and responsive user experience. We can expect the phone to offer at least 256GB of storage, given the chipset’s support for UFS 3.1.
THE OTHER DETAILS OF NOTHING PHONE (2A) PLUS ARE STILL UNDER THE WRAPS
While the core specs are now clear, there’s still much to learn about the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. For example, we don’t know whether the camera system will be the same as the non-Plus variant. To fill you in, the non-Plus came features two 50 MP sensors on the back. The primary one has a wide lens, while the secondary sports an ultrawide lens.
Next is the battery capacity. Given that it’s a Plus variant, it should offer better battery life than the non-Plus Nothing Phone (2a). Pricing is another factor that is yet to be uncovered. Nothing targeted the mid-range segment with the non-Plus variant, and given that it’s an A-series phone, the pricing should be on the affordable end.
But it’s worth noting that Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has already launched a mid-range, the CMF Phone (1). So, it would be interesting to see how the company differentiates its mid-range offerings. Of course, the launch isn’t far from now, so we don’t need to wait long to learn all about the device.
