Zautomatyzowany System Manifestowy (AMS)

Automated Manifest System (AMS) is an electronic information transfer system run by the  U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that captures details on air and ocean shipments. Before a ship or cargo plane makes its entry into an American port, it should provide detailed information about its cargo. The information is computerized and is directed to the United States Customs and Border Patrol. The AMS reduces unnecessary paperwork and expedites the process. Future transactions can easily refer to the information in the system. The system helps identify potential hazardous materials and aims to prevent security threats.
