A truck waiting fee is imposed by a trucker if it takes longer than the free waiting time of 1-2 hours to pick up or unload a full container. Following the expiration of the free waiting time, the trucker begins to charge the truck waiting fee on a prorated hourly basis. Port congestion frequently results in longer wait times.
