However, cartage differs from drayage in that it also involves transportation of non-containerized freight such as cartons and pallets.
Cartage services are adopted in short-distance transportation for items destined to a small town or within a city. Free Trade Zones are also popular in using the service in carrying the freight within the port to load and re-export.
