Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to launch soon. This affordable flagship could launch this month or in October. It recently got certified by the FCC. This certification revealed that the device supports 9W reverse wireless charging. Now, the smartphone has popped up on TUV certification.
That reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will support 25W wired charging. This is the same as its predecessor, the S23 FE. That means it will miss out on the faster 45W charging speeds other Samsung flagship devices offer. This slower charging than the rest is a cost-cutting measure from the company.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Will Also Have an Underclocked CPU
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will feature a downclocked version of the Exynos 2400 chipset. This is a clear step down from the standard Exynos 2400 used in the vanilla S24. Again, this is a cost-cutting measure, and it hints that the upcoming affordable flagship may not have a robust cooler.
In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE may look very similar to its predecessor, the S23 FE. However, Samsung could differentiate the two models by offering new color options for the new phone.

The TUV certification also reveals that the Galaxy S24 FE will be available in seven different models. That includes SM-S721B/DS, SM-S721B, SM-S721N, SM-S721Q, SM-S721U, SM-S721W, and SM-S7210. These model numbers likely represent different market versions of the device, with SM-S721B being the global version and SM-S721U being the US version.
TDRA certification listing reveals some of the other key details. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will support dual-SIM dual standby. The global version, SM-S721B/DS, per FCC listing, will support for Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G connectivity, LTE, and GSM. The phone is expected to measure 162mm in height and 77.3mm in width.

What Other Phones to Consider?
The specs revealed by the certifications do make the Galaxy S24 FE a little underwhelming. If you’re considering upgrading from your current phone, the good news is that there are multiple options available in the market. Instead of Samsung’s upcoming phone, you can consider the mid-range devices with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.

This is a high-end SoC from Qualcomm, and it performs better than the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, making these phones a better pick than a-year-old smartphone. If you’re looking for specific recommendations, the recently launched OnePlus Nord 4 is a good pick. Of course, you won’t be getting the same software experience as the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, but OnePlus’s UI is clean.
Another good recommendation would be the phones with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This is basically an under-cut version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the performance is similar to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Both offer better performance than the Exynos 2400.

There are many phones in the market with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. That includes the recently unveiled Honor 200 Pro and the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. These two are available in many markets, which is something you can’t say about the OnePlus Nord 4.
