라틴 아메리카 태양광 PV 뉴스 스니펫: Acciona, 페루에 225MW 태양광 발전소 건설 발표 등

$59 million for Peru solar project; Colombia eases self-consumption rules; Atlas Renewable Energy’s solar PPAs in Brazil; Chinese consortium only bidder in Argentinian auction.

225 MW solar plant in Peru: Spanish energy group Acciona has unveiled a new solar PV project in Peru with 225 MW installed capacity. It will build the project for the Peruvian electricity company Kallpa Generación. To be equipped with 371,040 high-performance bifacial solar panels, it is expected to generate 611 GWh annually. The project will be located in the district of La Joya in Arequipa in a 549-hectare area. Acciona said it will execute the project under a turnkey or full EPC contract.

Peru PV project raises financing: IDB Invest and Natixis have jointly shelled out $59 million in financing for Yinson Renewables’ 97 MW Matarani Solar Project in Peru. Located in the Arequipa region of Peru, the project is being executed by Yinson subsidiary GR Cortarrama. It will be backed by a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA), according to the promoter. On completion, it will generate close to 260,000 MWh annually, contributing to reducing the company’s dependence on thermal and hydroelectric power. IDB Invest will also provide advisory services to the project that’s coming up without state subsidies.

New rules in Colombia: Colombia’s Ministry of Mines and Energy has revised the rules for the uptake of non-conventional renewable energy sources (FCNER) by updating Decree 1073 of 2015. According to the new rules, prosumers generating electricity through renewable energy for self-consumption will not need any authorization connecting to the National Interconnected System (SIN). The ministry believes these regulatory changes will enable the country to take advantage of the benefits of clean electricity produced in places other than industrial manufacturing.

Solar PPAs in Brazil: Atlas Renewable Energy has secured 2 separate power purchase agreements (PPA) for its 579 MW Draco Solar Plant in Brazil. The project in Arinos City is to generate close to 1,150 GWh of clean energy annually. Sao Paulo-based telecom and data storage provider V.tal has signed up to offtake the full capacity of 710 GWh annually to power its buildings across Brazil, as well as the current and future data center park owned by the company’s data center business unit, Tecto. Atlas said this agreement ensures its entry into the data center sector in Latin America. Another 5.5 MW AC capacity is contracted by Minas Gerais-based poultry producer Rivelli. It will meet 100% of the energy demand for Rivelli’s 5 manufacturing plants by 2026.

Argentina solar auction 최신 정보: For the 15 MW General Pico Solar PV Project tender in Argentina, the Ministry of Energy and Mining received a single technical offer. It was offered by the consortium of UTS Mariana Solar-FCS Energía-PowerChina Argentina. Their offer will now be evaluated by the Pre-award Commission. Over the long term, this project in the La Pampa region is envisioned to be expanded to a cumulative 50 MW capacity. At the project announcement earlier in October 2024, 16 companies were in attendance. The 15 MW capacity forms phase II of the 50 MW General Pico Project since the 1st to generate 10 MW through Pampetrol ‘is in the Legislature waiting for the deputies to approve it.’
