Google TV has been on a roll with free channels! They started a collection of free channels last year and kept adding more and more. Just recently, they added even more, bringing the total to over 130 free channels you can watch!
These free channels are called FAST channels, which stands for Free Ad-Supported Television. They’re a big perk of using Google TV. There are actually over 800 channels total available on the platform, but only some of those are the free ones from Google. When Google TV first launched, they only had around 80 free channels.
GOOGLE TV SEES MASSIVE GROWTH IN FREE CHANNELS
As of June 2024, that number has skyrocketed to over 130 free channels! Just like before, these channels are only available in the US. There are also some additional things to keep in mind. Even though there are over 800 total channels available on Google TV, only a certain number are free. When Google TV first launched, they only had around 80 free channels.
Recently, 10 new channels were added to the free options on Google’s streaming platform! These new channels were spotted by a website called StreamingBetter. These ten new free channels include:

GOOGLE TV KEEPS GROWING WITH MORE FREE CHANNELS
This latest batch bumps the total free channels to 132! That’s a jump from 117 back in November, and there were even a few more added quietly in March. It’s clear the search engine giant is serious about offering lots of free choices.

Just last month, Google even announced a new advertising network specifically for these free channels. Plus, Walmart’s latest Google TV streaming box has a special button on the remote just for these free channels – super easy to access!
