On June 20, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) identified tris(4-nonylphenyl, branched) phosphite and 6-[(C10-C13)-alkyl-(branched, unsaturated)-2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl]hexanoic acid as a potential Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).

The proponents are finalizing the necessary documentation, expected to be submitted by August 1, 2024. Following this, ECHA will initiate a public consultation, inviting feedback from stakeholders to inform the decision on whether these substances should be included in the next SVHC candidate list.
Stofnaam | CAS nommer. | EC Num. | Omvang | Algemene gebruike | Expected date of submission |
tris(4-nonylphenyl, branched) phosphite | - | 701-028-2 | Endokriene ontwrigtende eienskappe (Artikel 57(f) – omgewing) | Antioxidants and heat stabilisers for the plastics and rubber industries | 01-Augustus-2024 |
